Each graduate will receive 13 tickets for family members and invited guests. Students will receive their tickets on May 18, 2026 at the Graduation Prep Day at Crandall High School. Students who need additional tickets are encouraged to ask their friends who may have extra tickets. Tickets are not available to replace any that may be lost. For safety purposes, no one will be admitted into Commencement without a ticket. No one but the graduate may pick up caps, gowns, and tickets. Seniors must have all records cleared, including food service, technology, library, etc. Students must also be in dress code to pick up caps, gowns, and tickets. Records must be cleared with money orders or cash (no checks), except for technology, which is paid through RevTrak.

Graduates participating in Commencement will practice on May 19, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. Students must arrive at CHS by 7:30. Important details will be covered at this time; therefore, attendance is mandatory. Students must be in CISD Standard Dress for this practice. Students must ride a bus to graduation practice. Details will be given to seniors during senior meetings.

Graduates will ride CISD-provided, air-conditioned buses to Commencement at the OC on May 21, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Students must be at the school no later than 7:30 a.m for group pictures. After Commencement, graduates will be expected to leave with family and friends.

Females should wear a nice dress or dark pants with dark-colored, low-heeled shoes.
Males should wear dark dress slacks, a white dress shirt, and a dark tie with dark-colored shoes.

Students should not bring any personal items on the day of graduation. All items brought will be held for pick up at the school on the following business day.

*Senior or early-graduate juniors who have not passed mandatory state testing before graduation will not receive caps, gowns & graduation tickets, or be eligible to participate in the May 2026 graduation ceremonies. [Federal laws (ARD Committee) and state laws (Individual Graduation Committee) offer limited exceptions.]
*Students who are not appropriately dressed will not be allowed to participate. Females will wear nice dresses or dark pants with dark-colored, low-heeled dress shoes. Males will wear dark dress slacks, white dress shirts, and dark ties with dark-colored dress shoes.
*All graduates will wear caps and gowns over their dress clothing during the commencement ceremony. Stoles provided with the cap and gown are the only stoles allowed to be worn during the commencement ceremony. National Honor Society stoles will be provided by NHS sponsors.
*For a senior who is eligible to graduate and is assigned to a DAEP through the last day of school, the student shall not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony or related graduation activities.
Senior activity week will be May 18th - 21st. All seniors are expected to be in attendance on these days. More information regarding activities and expectations will be given to seniors during graduation meetings. Students may opt out of activities, but they will still be required to attend.

-For ticketed guests, the OC doors open at 4:30 pm, and the arena doors open at 6:00 pm. Food vendors will be selling food during this time.

- Event parking will not be allowed prior to 4:30 pm. Forney ISD students must leave campus prior to event parking being open.

Dear Senior Parent:
Commencement will be held at the Opportunity Central on Thursday, May 21, 2026 at 7:00pm. Guests will be admitted by ticket only. Graduates will receive an allotment of 13 tickets each. The tickets will be distributed to graduating seniors on Monday, May 18th after the morning walkthrough and announcements. Lost or misplaced tickets cannot be replaced.
Commencement Practice is mandatory. Students who do not participate in the practice will not be allowed to participate in the actual ceremony. Students must be wearing CISD standard dress clothing. Graduation practice is on Tuesday, May 19, at Opportunity Central. Students must arrive at CHS campus by 7:30 am. Students will be riding CISD transportation to the practice.
Transportation to the Commencement Ceremony will be provided by the school. All graduates are required to ride the school-provided transportation in order to participate in the graduation ceremony on Thursday. Students are to report to Crandall High School at 4:00 pm and will board air-conditioned buses at 4:15 pm. Following the graduation ceremony, students must secure their own transportation home. Two final reminders concerning graduation eligibility are as follows:
- Students serving DAEP/JJAEP placements are not eligible to participate in graduation activities.
- Students who are not appropriately dressed will not be allowed to participate in graduation.
