School Library Materials Transparency (SB 13)

As you know, the State of Texas passed several bills during the most recent legislative session that require increased transparency in school districts. Senate Bill 13 (SB 13) includes requirements related to public visibility of proposed school library materials.

In alignment with SB 13 and local policy, Crandall ISD posts proposed library book lists prior to purchase and provides a way for the public to share feedback.

Submit Public Feedback

Crandall ISD provides a public feedback form for individuals who would like to share concerns or comments about a title included on a proposed list.

  • Feedback will be reviewed in accordance with district procedures and local policy.

  • Submitting feedback does not remove materials automatically; it begins a review process as required
